BELLEVILLE CRIMINAL DEFENCE LAWYER

We defend clients before all of Brockville’s courts.

1. Main Belleville-Quinte Courthouse Building

Belleville has a gorgeous new modern courthouse opened in 2013 that features lots of natural light (especially great if you're someone who hates windowless rooms), a limestone clad exterior, and a green roof. This may be little solace if you're forced to undergo lengthy legal proceedings here, but it does at least make for a good work environment, and stands in stark contrast to the 1967 built main Toronto courthouse which never seems to get a makeover.

Belleville-Quinte Courthouse Directions

Take the Hwy 62 Front St. Exit # 543 from the Highway 401, driving south on Front St. until you reach the courthouse.

Belleville-Quinte Courthouse Parking

Free all day (assuming no one is actively enforcing shorter unposted times), parking is available near the courthouse on side streets of the neighbourhood.

Belleville-Quinte Courthouse Hours

Courthouse hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with criminal remand and bail court often starting at 9 a.m., but plea and trial courts usually do not get going until 10 a.m.

Belleville-Quinte Courthouse Setup

The courthouse is six stories tall, with a total of ten courtrooms. Duty Counsel offices are located on the first floor. The law library is on the second floor. There is security screening as you enter the courthouse.

2. Belleville (Hastings) Provincial Offences Court

There is a separate provincial offences court run by the county located a few blocks away from the main courthouse.
